How-to

Find out why you aren't getting a match

Check the queue count, your search range and the bot's reply, and learn what makes the wait longer.

Waiting a long time with no match? These steps show what the bot is waiting for. They also show what to fix if the bot turned you away.

Check the queue

  1. Look at the green Join Queue button. It shows how many players are in and how many are needed, like Join Queue (4 / 6). No match starts until the queue is full. If the button is grey and says Queue closed, the queue is closed and nobody can join.
  2. Press My Queue Time. It shows how long you've waited. In a ranked queue it also shows your rating and your search range. In a casual queue it shows how many more players are needed. If it says you're not in any queue, join again.
  3. Give your range time to grow. The bot first looks for players within 200 points of you. Every 120 seconds it adds 100 more. It checks for a match every 10 seconds, and each time someone joins. Your server may use other numbers.

Why a full queue can still wait

  • Every player in a match must be inside every other player's range, both ways. A player who just joined has a small range, even if yours is wide.
  • Casual queues match by rating too. They just don't show your range.
  • A party uses the average rating of its players.
  • The players who have waited longest go first.
  • Some servers set a widest gap. Your range stops growing there.
  • If the channel says "No match yet. Avoid lists stop these players being split into two teams", just wait. Nobody is taken out of the queue.
  • If the channel says "Couldn't open the match", the players who were picked go back in the queue in the same order. The message says why. The bot tries again in 5 minutes. If the queue closed in the meantime, nobody is put back. Tell staff. The bot needs to manage channels in the Scrim Matches category.
Don't leave and join again. Pressing Join Queue while you're in the queue takes you out. If you lead a party, it takes the whole party out. If you're in a party but not the leader, you can't leave on your own. Only your leader can take the party out. When you join again, your wait starts from zero, you lose your place, and your range goes back to 200.

After 60 minutes the bot pings you to check you're still in the queue. The ping is in the confirm channel, or in the queue channel if the server has no confirm channel. Press Still here within 10 minutes, or you're taken out. Pressing it also starts your wait time again, so your range goes back to 200.

If the bot turned you away

When you press Join Queue, the bot sends a reply only you can see. Read it.

The reply saysWhat to do
