How-to
Finish a match: vote, forfeit or cancel
Vote for the winner and MVP, ask for a rematch, or give up or call off a match.
When your series is over, you vote on who won. You can also ask for a rematch, give up, or call the match off. All of this happens in your match channel, and only the players in the match can do it.
Someone left, or something's wrong
Stuck? Press Call staff, pick what's wrong, and the staff on duty are pinged, once per match. A copy goes to the Staff calls channel picked on Setup (or the log channel). A match with no result after 45 minutes gets a reminder, and after an hour the bot calls staff itself. Staff can switch that off under No-result reminders on the dashboard's Features page.
Refresh the teams
Don't like the teams? Press Refresh teams on the match post. The button shows the votes so far, like Refresh teams (1/4). Changed your mind? Press it again to take your vote back.
When more than half the players agree (4 of 6 in a 3v3), the bot makes new teams by rating. Parties stay together, avoided players stay apart, and you never get a set of teams this match already had. It posts the match again with the new teams and the same maps. When there are no other teams left to try, it says so and the teams stay.
- How often: as many times as players want, unless the server sets a limit with Team refreshes per match on the Settings page.
- When: only before anyone votes a result, and not in 1v1, lobbies or tournaments.
- Switching it off: staff can turn off Refresh teams on the dashboard's Features page.
If the bot restarts
A queue match carries on. The bot keeps it while it's being played: the teams, the maps and the votes so far. When it's back, it posts The bot restarted in your match channel, then the match post again with working buttons. Keep playing and vote as normal. A vote pressed in the last few seconds before the restart may need pressing again.
Some matches still end on a restart: one that was still in its ready check, a tournament match, a lobby, and a match where a player has left the server. The bot says so in the channel, and nobody's rating changes.
Vote for the winner
- Play the whole series first. Vote for the team that won the series, not one map.
- Open the vote panel. In the match channel, press the pinned
Vote (Winner & MVP) button, or run
/vote. If the match has no MVP vote, the button says Vote for the winner. A private panel opens. - Pick your MVP first. If the panel has an MVP menu, choose a player from Vote for MVP (not yourself). Voting closes the moment the result locks, so a late MVP vote is too late.
- Vote for the winning team. Press Vote Team 1 or Vote Team 2. You can change your vote until the result locks.
- Wait for the lock. The result locks when more than half of the players pick the same team. In a 1v1, both players must agree. After it locks, you can't change it, so raise problems before you vote.
Ask for a rematch
When a ranked match ends with a winner, the bot offers a rematch. Every player must press Rematch!. You get the same teams and the same best of, with new maps and no ready-up.
Press it soon. The channel is deleted 5 minutes after the result by default, and the button goes with it. The rematch can't start if someone is already in another match. Casual, tournament and lobby matches have no rematch.
Give up or call it off
- Give up. Every player on your team runs
/forfeit. In a 1v1, that's just you. The other team gets the win. It counts as a loss, and in ranked it changes your rating. - Call it off. Run
/cancel. More than half of the players must run it. In a 1v1, both players must. Nobody's rating changes, and everyone can queue again straight away.
If your opponent leaves
In a 1v1, the winner can't lock the result alone, because both players must vote. If your
opponent comes back, they can end it with /forfeit. If they don't, ask a Scrim
Supervisor or Scrim Manager to set the result with /setresult in the match
channel. If nobody ends the match, it stops blocking you from queueing
3 hours after it started.
If a result is wrong after it locks, staff can read Fix a wrong result.
