How-to
Make a 1v1 queue
Set up a solo 1v1 queue in its own channel, with its own length and maps.
A 1v1 queue is a normal queue with its own match size. You make the queue first, then set its size. Your other queues keep their own size, so 1v1 and 3v3 can run side by side. Only Scrim Managers, admins and people with Manage Server can do this.
Steps
- Make a text channel for it, for example #1v1.
- In that channel, type
!setup 1v1. The text after!setupbecomes the queue's name. A bare!setupnames it after the channel. The bot posts the queue panel. Or use Add a queue on the dashboard's Live page: pick the channel, type 1v1 as the name and press Add queue. - In the same channel, type
!queue 1v1 bo3. Usebo1,bo3orbo5for the length. The words can go in any order. - Or use the dashboard's Live page. On the queue's card, pick 1v1 in the size box and Best of 3 in the length box. Then press Save format. Server setting in a box means it follows the Settings page.
- Check it. Type
!queueon its own. It shows Format, Length, Type and Maps. The panel now shows 1v1 and says solo only.
Size and length are free on every plan.
Maps
With no pool of its own, a 1v1 queue plays Bounty on No Excuses for every game. The Maps page does not change it.
On the paid tier you can pick other maps. Open Map pool on the queue's card on the Live page. Tick the maps and press Save maps. Use 1v1 default goes back to Bounty. !queue can't set maps. More in Make a Brawl Ball only queue.
What players should know
- It's solo only. A player in a party must leave the party first. See Queue with friends in a party.
- Both players must vote for the same winner.
- There is no MVP vote in a 1v1.
How results work: Finish a match.
Common problems
!queuegives no reply in a channel that isn't a queue yet. Run!setupthere first.- The free plan has 1 ranked and 1 casual queue. If the ranked one is taken, the bot names the channel that has it. Use
!setup casual 1v1instead (ratings don't change). Or upgrade: press Upgrade on the dashboard's Overview page, or run/redeemif you have a licence key. - Casual queues turned off? Tick Casual queues on the Features page and press Save first.
- Don't set Match size on the Settings page to 1v1. That changes every queue left on Server setting.
- If a party is waiting when the queue becomes 1v1, the bot takes it out and says why.
- If your server changed its prefix, type that instead of
!.
