Running a server
Public pages and discovery
Putting your leaderboard on the web and getting your server found.
Every server gets its scrim stats on this website, free, at a private link. Only people
you share the link with can open it, and search engines are told to leave it alone.
The Full leaderboard button under /leaderboard opens it, and the
Features page shows it. Turn on Public leaderboard to list your server on
Scrim servers and let Google find it. You can turn it off again at any time.
What's on it
- A server page with the top players, server totals and clan standings.
- The full leaderboard.
- A page for each player with their rating, rank and results.
- A page for each clan.
Tournaments are separate. Each tournament has its own public page setting, so a tournament's live bracket can be public even if the leaderboard isn't.
How players find them
Nobody has to copy the link around. The bot puts it where players already look:
- Stats on every queue panel opens the server's page, and Leaderboard shows that queue's board.
- Web profile under
/profileopens the player's own page. - Full leaderboard under
/leaderboardand under each result in the results channel. - Your web pages on the dashboard's Overview has the link with a Copy button, for a pinned message or your server's rules.
Scrim servers
Every server that publishes is listed on Scrim servers. Servers that have played the most matches come first, and servers that hide their totals come after the others. It's where players come to find somewhere to play.
Choosing what shows
On the Features page, once Public leaderboard is on, you can hide server totals, hide clan standings, and choose how many top players the server page shows before the full list. The default is 10.
Turning it on
In the dashboard, open Features and turn on Public leaderboard. Your pages then move from the private link to your server's own address, and the private link keeps working. Your dashboard itself is never public, and search engines are told not to index it.
A Join button
Once the public leaderboard is on, you can add an invite link on the Features page. Your board and your listing on Scrim servers then show a Join button. Most invites people paste stop working after 7 days, so the button would quietly break.
To avoid that, pick the channel new players should land in and press Make one for me. The bot makes an invite into that channel that never expires, and saves it for you. It needs the Create Invite permission in that channel.
